FOTD + New Dresses

 Hi Lovelies!
This is my first FOTD since my Rhinoplasty, so be nice :)
I actually still  have bruising around my right eye, and a little bit around my left too. I've been reading all over the internet(how legit), and most bruising subsides within 2 weeks! and some people don't even get bruising!
I don't know why I'm not healing fast :S I mean, I'm not a smoker, I drink once a week, I eat okayish...

The results don't show until 3months post-op, but seeing as my healing sucks mine will probably take forever. Ugh. But I can see a difference already! I've been looking through pictures, and I don't have a hump, it's just the tip I'm not happy about.. But the doctor says it'll go down within a few months!

Apparently it's like 70% of the swelling goes down in 3months, and the last 30% within a year!

*I cant smile properly! I cant feel my nose, so like I feel retarded when I smile?

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm
MAC SFF
Bourjois Compact Powder
MAC Studio Sculpt Concealor <3

Chi Chi "Burning Up" Blush

Rimmel "Portobello" Cream e/s
TBS Palette "Caramel Shimmer" e/s
TBS Palette "Plum Shimmer" e/s
MAC Phloof! e/s
Loreal Telescopic
Bourjois Volume Glamour
Rimmel White Kohl Liner

I also bought 2 new dresses today.

This one is from Myer. It's by Miss Shop (they used to make the best jeans, now they suck), It looks pretty dodgy hanging on the coat hanger, but I actually really like it!
I believe that my best asset is my boobs, and so I rarely cover them up in Summer (shhh), but with this I feel sexy enough in it that I don't even mind it's not low cut!
I like the 3/4 sleeves and the length of the dress is perfect!
Price: $59.95

This dress is from ICE, and I rarely ever find anything in there that I like, but I've been looking for a dress like this for ages! I can layer it with a blazer, or wear it over a bikini to the beach! <3 <3
The only issue is, is that the back is just crochet/lacey stuff! and it goes all the way down to your bum! I tried on the small, which was too big, and I walked out and asked my friend to get me a XS, I turned around and she was laughing that she could see my g-string! It was like bright yellow aswell! But the XS you can't see my underwear, but you can see my bra? But that's cool cos I have pretty bras lol
Price: $35.95

Question:
Are any of you major label whores?
As in, you won't buy anything from "cheap"(ice) stores?
What about accessories?

I know I used to be, but my brother had this friend, and she used to shop in every single store, even if she hated it! and she always looked gorgeous! and my favourite clothes of hers were actually from shitty places, not Sportsgirl or Myer, or even Supre, but like MCL and stuff!
Maybe I just have bad taste lol

Mary-Kate or Ashley?

Question:
Are you a Mary Kate or Ashley girl?
I love them both, but Mary-Kate is my favourite :)

Hair Dilemna: Split Ends!

I purchased the Tigi Bed Head Ego Boost Split End Mender (phew, long name!) from Price Attack today. It was $27.95, although I looked online and I could've got it for like $20, but I wanted it now. My hair needs it.
I have dry, split ends, and I don't want to cut them off. I know that's bad, since there's not quick fix for split ends, basically you have to cut them off, orelse you risk them creeping up higher and cracking the whole hair shaft. But it's a risk I'm willing to take, in order to get long (ish) hair!
Hope this works :) Has some good reviews!

"Boost that ego and save your hair! Ego Boost Split End Mender & Leave in conditioner will seal, smooth and protect your hair. As a split end mender, apply to ends. As a leave in conditioner, smooth over fly-aways as needed. Use on wet or dry hair."

According to reviews I've been reading, it's great for touch ups during the day to control frizziness. It also seals the cuticle, making it seem like the hair is healthy.
Apparently it also helps the hair condition, but I'm a tad skeptic because my ends are fried, I think they're beyond help. But we'll see how it goes! I'll give it a few more weeks, and if my ends are still unmanageable, I'll give them the chop!

The Tigi Bed Head Split End Mender will be replacing my Schwarzkopf Bonacure Repair Rescue Sealed Ends. I liked the way the Schwarzkopf Sealed Ends made my hair feel, it felt like ti was being nourished, but after using the whole tube, my hair hasn't improved. I do like the product, and I might re-purchase because it isn't bad, but in the mean time I'm trying new products to see if I can find something that will help my ends.

Has anyone suffered from split ends, then over come it?
Are there specific products you use to help prevent them?
Or even a cure?

I've been using the Redken Extreme shampoo and conditioner, and it's helped my hair, but I think I've had enough protein, and I'm going to start dying my hair again, so I need some new products!
I'm trying to find out recs from other blondes, but haven't come across any recs I think that would suit my hair type yet. So I purchased the Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship duo.
I wanted to try the Herbal Essences Breaks Over duo, but they didn't have any. Grrr.
I don't think the scent is nearly as good as Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, but apparently it's more moisturizing!

Any recs for moisturizing products?
I'm looking for a spray leave in conditioner!
But it has to be able to be sprayed onto dry hair, aswell as wet.

Lush Eau Roma Water: Useless?

I first discovered Lush in 2008 whilst I was living in Brisbane.
I didn't really have much interests in it then, and I don't have much interest in it now.

I mean, the bath bombs are kinda cool, but it's disappointing when the bubbles only last not even a minute. And the shower gels smell great, but they leave my skin feeling dry. The face masks seem nurturing because they look like someone's made the stuff in their own back yard, but they've done nothing for my skin.
It could just be that I'm used to the harsh chemicals and what not that's in today's societys body products.

Honestly, for me, the only good thing about Lush is the fact that they don't test on animals, and that most of their ingredients for their products are natural. Even though I spy SLS in the Snow Fairy! De-Dow.

I've only tried a couple of products, but what I've tried I've been disappointed with. I don't think the Lush craze will last much longer.. There are cheaper alternatives out there, or you could just make it yourself.
They do have a good concept though!

Anyways

I just poured my Eau Roma Water into my Natio Face Mist (empty) spray bottle, because the Eau Roma Water wasn't doing much as a toner on my skin. So I'm just going to use it as a mist :) The bottle it came with doesn't mist over the face, it kinda just shoots out in a general direction.

It's usefull now :)

Ps. Snow Fairy is the best scented shower gel ever created!

What is your take on Lush?
Products you Love? and Hate?

I understand that 99% of you will love Lush, and hardly anyone will agree with me :)
However, there are bloggers out there that haven't jumped on the Lush bandwagon!

Update

Hey everyone!
Just updating everyone on a few things..

Firstly, bout my nose. I got the cast off on Tuesday (few days ago) which CAINED! Im astound at the things the doctors dont tell you bout Rhinoplastys. It felt like someone was ripping duct tape off my face! and when he took the actual cast off, I swear my nose was gonna go with it! I actually said "Can we have a break?" half way through cos it hurt so much! Then I got 2 external stitches taken out of my cheeks, and I still have like 10 disolvable ones inside my nose.
ANYWAYS would love to do a FOTD but its way swollen, and still bruised! But believe me, as soon as I can put makeup on (still can't touch my nose, too sensitive) I'll be showing you all.

Secondly, came into my room today and my favourite Inglot e/s was broken :( But it was on my dressing table? not on the floor? I don't know how this happened!! It was my favourite Inglot e/s, I have like 5 of them.. I hate all of them, except this one, the others aren't pigmented enough.
Anyways, what should I do? Is it still use-able??

On a happier note, I did a swapsies with my sister today. Her friend gave her a lipgloss the other day, and she wore it this morning, and came into my room, and I asked her if that's the new gloss, and she was like "Yeah, I dont like it, makes me look washed out"
So I, very kindly, offered to do a trade with her! She can have my Rimmel eyeliner (which she steals) and I can have the lipgloss :)
Its probably the most pigmented gloss I have. Usually I go for sheer, with a bit of colour. But like with this one, the colour you see in the tube, is the colour you get on your lips!
I love it :)

Lastly, I got the new Cleo magazine today and it came with a free Maxi dress. I am 160cm (tiny tiny) and apart from Nicole Richie, I dont really think small girls can pull Maxi dresses of?

I wonder why all my pictures are turning out all spastic? They looked fine before they got uploaded! ah wells :)

Looky What I Found...

...Didn't really "find" seeing as it wasn't really hiding from me or anything. But I noticed this holder in my room :) It's full of lip balms that I forgot I even purchased!

Beaute Des Levres Lipglosses
Tutti Frutti and Frambuesa
I bought this in David Jones about 6 months ago. I went through a few others of these! They smell so good! If you're in DJ's any time soon, definitely give them a whiff :)
Ps. The purple ones goes on clear.

Bloom Aromatherapy Lip Balm
Strawberry and Lime
"A soothing, long lasting and natural lip balm. Contains beeswax, vitamin E, and (strawberry or lime) flavour."
These both smell delicious! The lime one is very invigorating, and the strawberry is so yummy! I guess the reason I haven't used these all up yet, besides the fact that I totally forgot bout them, is because the texture is just way too hard. You have to smooth your finger across the balm numerous times to get it soft enough to apply!

Revlon Mix and Mingle Lip Palette
R.S.V.Pink
I paid like over $20 for this, which is quite expensive for a lip GLOSS palette... I wanted this for yonks, and cos Revlon doesn't have testers I couldn't try before I bought it. It came with 3 colours, but I've smooshed the 2 nudes together, so it looks like there's just a nude and a dark pink. They're quite pigmented for glosses... Most are sheer, but these give a  shimmery"sheen" (not just a gloss) - Okay, Ill stop with tyring to explain lol

Lip Gelato
Strawberry
I used to buy a new one of these every time I went food shopping with my mum! They're about $4 and it smells so good. Moisturizing enough for my dry/flakey lips too :) This will be gone by the end of the week!

Cotton On Lipgloss
I got this for like a couple of dollars from Cotton On Body a few months back, the packaging was just too cutesy! However, It's *suprise suprise* a pretty shotty lip balm! Oh wells, Still looks cute in my bedroom!

The Body Shop Tantalizing Lip Butter
"Yes, Yes, Yes! (Oui, Oui, Oui!)"
Cannot believe I found this! I hid it like ages ago, because within the first day I made a dent in it, and because it was Limited Edition (even though, Im pretty sure I still see it at TBS occasionally?) I was trying to only use it when I needed to.
It's moisturizing, smooth, and smells DELIGHTFUL!
Also, It's like a charity lip balm, I think it was aids or safe sex? Theyre like related so yeah, doesn't matter! But it's nice contributing to a cause that affects so many people :)

Perfume Collection

Hi Bloggers!
Ive been MIA for almost a week now, I haven't really been upto blogging, but here's just a quick post about the Perfumes I own.
Hope everyone has been well!

My Favourites

L-R:
Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture
"an enticing scent of wild berries and mandarins, honeysuckle, gardenia, and jasmine. To round it out, amber, caramel, vanilla, sandlewood, and praline add just the right touch of sweetness."
Notes: Wild Berries, Mandarine, Honeyuckle, Gardenia, Jasmine, Amber, Caramel, Vanilla, Sandlewood, Praline.

Daisy by Marc Jacobs
"Always elegant, always enchanting - but not too serious - Daisy is a sparkling floral bouquet, spirited and fresh, wrapped in comfort and warmth."
Notes: Strawberry, Violet Leaves, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Gardenia, Violet Petals, Jasmine Petals, Musk, Vanilla, White Woods.

Princess by Vera Wang
" Created for the playful, unpredictable, independent woman who treats everyday like an event and adventure."
Notes: Water Lily, Lady Apple, Mandarine Meringue, Golden Apricot Skin, Ripe Pink Guava, Tahitian Flower, Wild Tuberose, Dark Chocolate, Pink Frosting Accord, Precious Amber, Forbidden Woods, Royal Musk Captive, Chiffon Vanilla.

Vanilla by The Body Shop
"A sweet, warm and velvety vanilla fragrance."
Notes: Bergamot, Coconut, Apricot, Strawberry, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Rose, Vanilla, Sandlewood, Amber and Musk.

As you can see, the one stable note that is in all of my favourites is vanilla! Thats basically the basis of each new perfume I buy :)

"Eh" Perfumes

L-R:
Fantasty by Britney Spears
I purchased this when I went to Melbourne last November. I do like it, but only as a "Its cheap, so Ima use it till it's gone" I don't avoid it, but I don't "enjoy" wearing it like I do with my Favourite perfumes!

Hidden Fantasy by Britney SPears
I was obsessed with this stuff for months before I purchased it! I bought this like a month ago, and was way excited. I wore it for a day and got sick of it. Its too strong, or too something.. Im not sure.. Anyways, I don't love it. But its okay. Its cute to shove in my bag cos it's so little :)

Showtime by Kylie Minogue
Ahhh my good. I wore this every day for almost a year. This was once my HG perfume! Its smells like candy :) But with a bit of spice to it or something? This is my second bottle, I purchased the first one in 2008. I do like this, and will re-purchase cos it's cheapish and the bottle is really pretty. Its a tad embarrassing wearing a Kylie Minogue perfume lol but I love what *sh*e comes up with! (Her *brand* comes up with) I love her doonas!! and cushions!!

My Least Favourites

Dolce and Gabbana is too strong, and it makes me feel like Im trying way to hard to be sexy and mature... And Anna Sui makes me feel like Im 10 and like I chose things based purely on the way they look.

Have You Worn Any Of These Perfumes? Opinions?
What's Your Favourite Perfume? and Your Least?

Rhinoplasty - CAUTION yuk pics

Hello!!!
Yesterday at 9am I went to Adelaide Memorial Hospital for my Rhinoplasty operation :)
It was so fun!! Yeah, actually fun! Everyone who looked after me was so lovely!!
The next few pictures aren't for the faint hearted, so if you have an issue with badly bruised up faces, don't look!!
Here are some of the most unglamorous pictures you've most likely ever seen!
Ps. I can't move my face, hence the dumbass expression

These pictures were taken today, so Day 2. Day 2 and 3 is when all the swelling and bruising happens.. And Im doped up on Oxycodone (its derived from opium, its like heroin and morphine) so yeah Im a tad dazed lol
If anyone has any questions about pre-op or post-op procedures, just ask :)

Piercings: Retainers for Rhinoplasty

For my Rhinoplasty operation on Tuesday (1 day away!) I have to take out all my jewelery incase my heart stops and they need to use those zapper thingos that you see in movies.. Basically if I live my jewelery in, cos the bars are metal, I'll get electrocuted.

Nape Piercing
Anyways, with my nape piercing (check it out here) because it's a staple bar (looks like a staple) I'm too sooky to take it out myself, so I went to a piercer. He's so hot! He has 3.8cm fleshies! ahhh and FOUR lip piercings. num num num.
He took it out, didn't really hurt, although I could feel the staple-ly bit scratch my inside skin (??) when it was being dragged out.
I didn't notice till I got home that it bled a little.
Here are some pics lol

Here's the staple bar that I had in.

As you can see it's dirty, yuk. When I get it put back in I'll clean it with salt water once a week.
My nape piercing is still an awesome piercing, and I love it. Even if they didn't have plastic retainers to put in, I would've taken it out for the surgery, and then got it re-pierced a few weeks later.
I recommend this piercing to everyone, cos it's awesome. (My opinion, don't care if you don't like it)

Tragus and Navel Retainers
These are the retainers for my Tragus piercing (ear) and my Navel (belly button). Didn't really have much choice over the balls, it was eiither clear or these weirdo designs lol Doesn't really matter though, because I'll put in my metal bars straight after surgery.

Navel Ring and Scars from Previous/Failed Piercing
A few months ago I got a surface piercing that went horrizontally across my navel. It's a shitty picture, but you can still see the scars from where it was. It turned bad and you can read about it here.
I've had my belly pierced since I was 13 :) It's my fav piercing, usually I get sick of piercings and take them out, and I did take out my belly ring, but only to change the bar, but ebcause it was fairly new, it grew over! That was about 3 years ago, and I got it pierced about 3weeks after it grew over.

This is just a way funny picture bellow, my legs are like bowed in, and my boobs look like my back? lol seriously.. Waaay out of whack in this pic lol
Ps. Note how you can still see the scars from the horizontal piercing? Even from that far away? They're kinda obvious.. I like them though :) Scars are fun! I have a cool one underneath my boob, and have nooo idea how I got it!

Stick To What You Know & Love

There are alot of products out there that I love (Studio Fix Fluid, Bourjois Blushes, Rimml Lasting Finish, Maybelline Lash Stilhetto, Crabtree & Eyelyn La Soure Hand Therapy, Cremesheen Glasses, etc), but the products that Ill be mentioning below are my absolutely favourites.
Although Iam all for trying new products, with these I usually don't switch up (unless there's a product with really reviews!), I always have one of each of these products all through the year.

Australis Mineral Inject Lipgloss
Okay, so after this post I promise Ill shuttup about this gloss! lol Ive written about it here, here and here. These are the ones I have at the moment, I have one in each of my main bags/makeup cases! Including the ones pictured, I have bought about 15 of these. Most of them in Lambarda (the light pink) and a few in Contempary (nude colour) when they didn't have Lambarda haha. I guess Im a creature of habit.
Basically I love this because its moisturizing, gorgeous colours, and it's cheap!

Kerastase Nutritive Masquintense
I have thin hair, I get foils once a month, and I use a ghd every other day. So you can imagine what sort of condition my hard would be in! This treatment totally saves it! Ive gone through 3 of these in the past 18months, I basically buy one whenever I can afford it. I highly recommend this product to people with thin/highlighted hair like mine! It definitely helps ALOT. Leaves my hair feeling soft, and also once Ive finished the whole tub (takes months) my hair is noticably stronger and healthier!
Iam purchasing the shampoo and conditioner in about a week, so I can't wait to be using the whole program!
It is rather expensive (AU$50 a tub) but it works so well, and lasts for ages!

Loreal Telescopic Mascara
Love this stuff! Like the Australis Lipgloss, Ive raved about this product alot! I get so many comments when I use this mascara, even from my mum :) She actually buys this for me because she sees that it works! And for my mum to actually notice is a miracle cos she's "as blind as a bat" according to my dad lol
The colour is way intense, and it lengthens so well.
Its the best lengthening mascara Ive ever come across. It doesn't do much else apart from lengthen and masks your lashes dramatic. So if you're looking for a mascara to hold curly (it does this okay) or volumize then this isn't for you! But it definitely is for me! :)

MAC Mineral Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle
This is the only skin finish that Ive tried (whenever I got to the MAC counter they're out of basically every other colour grrr) so I wouldn't say that I'm pro with skin finishes! But I absolutely love this! I'm all for a glow on my cheeks and this does it!
The first time I used it was absolutely hilarious cos I was in my friends bathroom and it had way different lighting to where I usually do my makeup (my room) and so I couldn't actually see the shimmer or colour much!!! Anyways So I packed it on alot and went out for dinner at about 5pm so it was still light, and everyone was like "Wow Lorien, wtf have you done!" I was like a little shimmer bunny hahahah IT was so funny.
Im not saying to go lightly with this, I actually put a far amount, but like make sure you have good lighting, and if you don't, just go careful.

Im almost finished with this!! I use it like every day, so no wonder it's almost gone. This is my second one this year :) I first discovered it innnnn February? or March.. :)

Tigi Bed Head Head Rush Shine Spray
This stuff is God! I don't use serums because my hair gets weighed down heaps easy, and I've tried other shine sprays (omfg, the worst is Loreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Daily Gloss! It says you can use it on dry hair, but to spray it lightly, I did and it made my perfectly Ghd'd hair all wavy again! uuggggh! I tried it on damp hair like it says aswell, but it just made it greasy? Yuk!), anyways this stuff is beautiful. I'll have to do a review on this later, show you some pics with my hair normally, and then with this stuff on it.
My brother uses it, my mum, my friends, everyone. Its brilliant.
If you spritz some onto your skin you can see the pigments in it. If my skin wasn't sensitive, and if I was one of those people that like multi use products, Id spray it onto my body for a sheen lol
It holds hair well without making it stiff, and makes it glow! Love it.

Tresemme Heat Tamer Protective Spray
Ive been using this for about 5months now. I've gone through about 3 bottles. I definitely do need a heat protectant for my hair, and I was using some serums/creams, but like I said, they weigh down my hair/looks greasy within 24hours. So I need something light, but still protects my hair from the dreaded (but lovely) GHD.
Not only does it do those 2 things, but its also vitamin enriched so it helps nourishes my hair too! It also helps to hold the style, which was really important when I had my extensions because I was curling it quite a bit!
It's a supermarket product, so it's easy to purchase and is in expensive. I see no reason why I should try something different!

Rimmel Renew and Lift Pressed Powder
I've written about this stuff before, and practically use it every day with my foundation. I have troubles with pressed powder, because I have normal skin everywhere, except for my nose. My nose is insane! It's like oily oily oily!! Ahh, drives me nuts! Anyways, so usally with pressed powders (Hello, Inglot!) the foundation on my nose, yup just my nose! oxidizes and turns ORANGE. Proof this is with some of the FOTDs Ive taken over the past few months.
ANyways, I don't know why, but with this foundation that doesn't happen.
I use the ivory colour, and it suits all my foundations. It makes my makeup last longer, and the fact that its "mineral enriched" gives me a smile knowing that not only does my skin look gorgeous, but I'm helping it too haha.
I've tried the Rimmel Matte pressed powder, but that looks cakey on my, oxidizes my nose, and yeah don't like it!
It's not expensive, but it's really good quality. It comes with a applicator (spongey thingo) but I use the MAC suede puffs you can buy from the MAC counter for like $8 for 2!
