EOTD: Purple + My Opinion on my new Loreal Infallible foundation

#I wore my new Loreal INfallible foundation. And so far I do not like it. It may just be the Laura Mercier primer, that I dont usually wear, thats making the foundation looking funny. But even the texture of the liquid itself is so weird!! Its really runny and goo-ey, unlike StudioFix which is a lqiuid, and runny, buts its more creamy and can sit in a "glop" on my hand, whereas Loreal INfallible sorta justs runs into a little puddle. Its sunken into my pores alreayd! God. (Ps Ive worn it for a whole 30minutes, so Ill give you a proper review after wearing it for a day)#

Before I Buy Any Beauty Products...

... I must finish these first!!!!

I waste so much $$ on things that I dont really need; And this posts proves it!!

This is kinda like a 10Pan project, but instead of individual products, Im grouping them together.

These are the foundations I must get through before I purchase another bottle/tube/tub!I dont really use concealor, so this lot might be tricky. But I have to atleast get rid of 2 of these. Why do I even purchase concealors though? Arggh.

Powders are so easy for me to use up!!! I bought the Mac Select Sheer pictured like a week or so ago, and I can already see the silver bit!!! But in my defence, it has been like 40+ degrees so my nose has been so terribly oily!!

If you look closely, you'll notice I have 2 of the same ModelCo eyeliners. Exactly the same colour. Why!!?!?!

Its too much to ask of myself to use all these eyeshadows. BUt I must atleast put a dent in my collection!!!

Im not even going to start with my mascaras. Half of them are probably dried out by now anyways!!!

Does anyone else buy things that they already have?? Or dont even use???

October Favourites + Loreal Haul

It may be almost December, but Ive decided to show you my October Favourites anyways. Its more Late October/Early November Favourites.

Going down, Its Australis Mineral Inject lipgloss in Lambarda (weird name!! Should be candy or something lol)

And below that is the Mac Cremesheen Glass in Boy Bait - Friken love the stuff!!!

Over the last few months Ive been looking for slighty cheaper alternatives to the Mac StudioFix I use. Based on Reviews, It was either a toss up between Loreal Infallible foundation and Revlon Colorstay. Ive never been a fan of Revlon (despite their excellent reputation) so I decided to go with Loreal.

Over the past few weeks Ive been into Priceline Numerous times and tried the testers to match my colour. The colouyrs confuse me so much!! They dont really go from light to dark, its like light, medium, light, dark, BLAH!! Anyways settled on Nude Beige 605.

I put off purchasing the foundation because it was expensive and I decided to wait for a promotion.

And today was my lucky day!! They had a buy 2, get 3rd product free.

So I purchased the Nude Beige 605 foundation, then went for the powder, noticed there was no 605 in powder, so I got the lightest one available - 662 Natural Buff.

Im a tad concerned the colours may be too dark. But I fake tan in Summer heaps so its no biggy. I also purchased the Loreal Telescopic mascara in Carbon Black!!! My HG Mascara :)

Express Reviews: Pimple Treatments, ModelCo Lash + Brow Growth Stimulator, Kerastase Noctogenist Spray.

Alrighty, Long reviews aren't really my thing. So basically Ill give you my humble opinion on various products, followed by ratings out of 10 for the following:

• Quality of Packaging
• Quality of Product

ModelCo Lash + Brow Growth Stimulator

AUD$42

Claims: " LASH + BROW Growth Stimulator is your beauty secret weapon for voluptuous lashes and fuller thicker brows in just 14 days! This unique wonder product restores thin lashes and over plucked brows with a deep conditioning blend of vitamins and proteins that prevents damage from free radicals to the hair follicle while simultaneously working to maintain healthier hair growth. "

My Opinion: 14 days? Nah. I used it every night for almost 2months and it did not imrpove my lashes. Not the length, volume, or health. However, There are reviews saying good things about this product (thats why I purchased it in the first place) so I still encourage people to try it out if they wish, and see if it works for them!!!

Value for Money: 0/10 (cos it didnt work for me) 6/10 (if it had worked, its alot cheaper than the other $150 versions out there!!)

Quality of Packaging: 8/10 (Simply, modern)

Notes: Only use at night. If you wear it during the day, you cannot apply mascara on top!! It clumps lashes together!!

Caution: Avoid getting it in your eyes - Stings like a bitch!!!

Kerastase Noctogenist Spray

AUD $46.50

Claims: (from back of product) " Overnight revitalizing treatment, renewing effect - For fine, dull, tired looking hair. Throughout the night, the enriched formula nourishes and portects the hair fibre. In the morning hair is refreshed, light, radiant and feels renewed. Spray over lengths and ends of dry or towel dried hair. INstantly absorbed and does not weigh down hair.

My Opinion: It really does leave the hair soft and silky in the morning!!! However it didnt perform any miracles, its more of a smoother and detangler. It smells delicious, and the spray is light and absorbs quickly.

Value for Money: 6/10 (if it weren't so expensive Id buy it again!! However, Ill be trying out cheaper versions.)

Quality of Packaging: 5/10 (not that great, the supermarket brands look just as good. However the brand itself entices my to buy products like these!! Id much rather Kerastase on my dressing table rather than Tresemme - Ps I love Tresemme!)

Note: Its tempting to use too much product because it feels like their isnt enough product on the hair, I used way too much for the first 2weeks and it emptied out half the bottle!! I only use 3-5 "spritzes" now and it feels just as good as when I used 10+ !!

Pimple Problem?

Garnier SOS Pen

Pros:

Works well.

Cons:

Cant wear under makeup, causes flaking.

Dries out skin.

The weird smell gets to me.

Nivea Bye Bye Spot

Pros:

Works well!! Had a pimple and put some of this on it at 4pm and then later before bed, and noticed a dramatic difference the next day!!!

Nifty packaging. Kinda "Stylish" for a pimple treatment!!

Does not leave skin dry.

Cons:

You have to "press" the pen onto your skin, and if you have a sore pimple, it kinda hurts!! I mean you dont have to like push down hard or anything, but its still a tad rough!!

Clearasil Blocker Pen

Pros:

Cool concept. Like a twist biro full of pimple fighting stuff.

Cons:

Doesnt actually work. (For me)

Dries out skin.

Cant wear under makeup, causes flaking.

Which One Would I Re Purchase?

Nivea Bye Bye Spot Pen.

Looking for a natural solution? Try pure Tea Tree Oil. Works soooo well!!! Not as convenient as these 3, because you have to use a cotton bud and dip it in the oil. Maybe Im just lazy :)

Ive finally done it!! Brought back 6 empty/unused products to MAC and got myself a free lippie :) Got it in Myth. I really, really wanted it in Hue after hearing such great things about the colour on blogger, but its only sold at "pro" stores.. DOdgy! Oh wells. This colour is gorgeous. Wore it today with my Cremesheen Glass in Boy Bait over the top.

Eye of the Day

Im really not that into colours. So here's just a look using Mac Phloof! and Inglot Pearl 161. My lashes dont have my usual Loreal Telescopic, they have Bourjois Volume Glamour, I definitely prefer my Loreal!!! Rimmed both top and bottom lash lines in MOdelCo Eyeliner :)

The colour is far more intense but its so hard getting it to come up right on my $100 camera!!

Nawww!!

Haul: 14/11

Went shopping yesterday in the city, mainly just to Supre, Myer, and DJ's cos it was waaaay too hot to be trying on clothes all day!! Topped like almost 40degrees! Far out man!

One of the main things I love about Christmas time is all the cute little gift sets!! I took advantage of this and bought 2 new fragrances.

This is the Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture fragrance. It was $99 for the set, the 50ml perfume alone costs that! So basically the body lotion is free :)
Its so adorable!!!

And this is one of my staple fragrances. Princess by Vera Wang. It was $90 for the gift set!! Which included 50ml perfume, satin body lotion, gorgeous makeup case, and a roll on perfume/lipgloss compact!!! (Like Viva La Juicy, the perfume alone is $90 - so the other items wear free!) The I went to the MAC counter. And purchased Cremesheen Glass in Boy Bait - Was so lucky, it was the last one left!! Its like a limited item, so whenever they come in I always try to buy a few because this stuff is lovely, gorgeous colour and its very moisturizing!!! I also purchased the Studio Scult Concealor in NC20 after hearing some reviews about it through blogger. Havent tried it yet, but hopefully it will be better than the MAC moisturure cover concealor I purchased months ago and have used like twice.
Lastly I purchased the Bourjois Volume Glamour mascara in Ultra BLack. I used this last night, and it was very hard to get the length, definition and volume that I usually get with my Loreal Telescopic Mascara; but that could be due to the fact that I was applying it whilst in a moving car :)

I also bought a black singlet dress from Supre, its a size xs but I think I actually need the xxs because it just looks baggy!! Cannot stannnd baggy clothes!

Okay so I promise that next month Iam going to be posting weekly. Probably like 2-3times per week!! I have a massive list of posts that I need to write. Reviews, hauls, etc. And they'll all be done by the end of this month!! Pinky swear :D

Anyways my excuse for the lack of posts is because Ive been working heaps because the girls at my work are at uni and cos its the end of the year, they all have exams!!! I mean this week is a 7day week for me!!! like 45+ hours!! Good news is, is that Il have tones of $$ to spend on hauls :)

I bought this top from Bardot this week. It was like $69 or $79.
It is almost impossible to get on!! because it has a zip up the back, but it stops like 5cm from the bottom!!! But its way cute :)

I bought this cute gift set from Clarins. Fingers crossed it will help my gigantic pores. And if it does, Ill give you all a review!! There's no point about writing about products that dont work ay...

Anyways, it was $52. It comes with a full size Hydra Matte moisturizer which is worth $52 by itself!! So the other 2 items are practically free!!! The item on the left is the pore minimizer itself, and to the right is the "Pure and Radiant" mask.

Heres just a pic of my eye makeup today. Sorry about the bad quality, I find it impossible to actually get good photos?? Ive tried ike everything!! Like going outside, to changing the brightness, different angles. Ughhhh. BUt the eyeshadow is wayyyyy more pigmented! However the picture does show my lack of blending skills :P

It scares the shit outta people when they see it!! because I look so innocent and sweet then I have like some weirdo bar sticking through my neck lol The boys at work are like obsessed with touching it, and so I think its like resurfacing... But Nape piercings aren't designed to last forever, only a few months, a year or two at best. Ive had mine 6months, and counting!! Im going to get it repierced if it does grow out :)

Surface Piercing

Last Thursday, being the 5th of NOvember 2009, I spontaneously decided to get a new surface piercing (I have another one on the back of my neck, called the "Nape Piercing").

Last Night. It started bleeding at work, and it felt like the balls were like sinking into the skin, making massive holes in my tummy!!

This Morning. I did a sea salt soak last night (Sea salt mixed with boiling water, put on the skin using a cotton pad), and then I had a shower this morning trying to get the blood off of the piercing!! I didnt touch the piercing itself, cos that would just make it worse!!!

As you can see it became horribly infected not even a week after the piercing took place!!!! I went into Essential Bueaty in Rundle Mall today to get a piercer to have a look at it. She shrieked in horror and said I had to take it out. So I hoped onto the bed and she removed it, and cleaned it. She offered to put a different one in.

I decided not to get a diff one in there because the piercing itself is already pretty fucked. Im just gonna wait for it to heal, and then maybe get some Dermals.

The lady didnt charge for it to be removed or anything!! Was so nice of her... But I think it may have been because it was the other Essential Beauty that pierced it wrong, so she felt bad.

This from today, an hour after she took it out. As you can see its soooo bruised!! It doesnt hurt, but its uncomfortable. Im going to be using Protat Sea Salty spray just to help the healing process along!!!

Fingers crossed it doesnt SCAR!!

So What Went Wrong?

According to the lady who took it out, the bar was way too short. Im not suprised by this. The guy who pierced it used a regular tongue bar (which is just straight) and bent it with PLIERS into the shape of a staple (which is what surface piercing jewelery looks like). I should have said something to him, but I guess he knew what he was doing.

ALso, not many piercers will actually pierce the navel area using a surface piercing bar, they use Micro Dermals instead. This is because the tummy is an area that moves alot, and so theres a high risk of piercing rejection.

I was also concerned when my piercer didnt properly steralize the jewelery, he didnt even wipe my tummy clean with a steralized cloth!!!! I should have picked up on these things, and Im kicking myself that I didnt.

Honestly, When you get a piercing, go to a REPUTABLE piercer. I bought this all on myself!! Essential Beauty has a pretty crappy rep as piercers, which is probs why their piercings are so cheap.

Tiny Haul

I meant it when I said a small haul!!!!

Havent really been shopping much, just been partying heaps lately and going to the beach cos we've had some pretty awesome weather here in Adelaide!!!

Bought some cute thongs/sandals from Dotti, $39.95. Omgsh, Im a size 9!!! and Im only 160cm tall!! Everyones like wow you've got big feet for such a small girl lol Whatever.

Also got a new wallet and coin purse, both from Forever New. My old ones were falling apart and I really wanted to buy the new Barbie loves Mimco clutch, but the collection doesnt come out till Wednesday!! Argh. They said November, but never mentioned which date, Ive been waitly sooooo patiently!!!
I also purchased MAC Selection Sheer Pressed Powder and the Studio Fix Fluid FOundation, both in NC15. It came up to like $91 or something???

And also the Australis Mineral Inject lipgloss in Lambarda - Ive had like 3 compliments using this so far this week!!! Its only like $12 so you should try it if you love light pink glosses :) Its non sticky and moisturizing!!! And smells really nice, oh and according to my MUM it tastes(??) nice too. Lol
