Review: Australis Duo "Sunkissed Glimmer"

Packaging i find the packaging rather cute, but kind of cheep looking. black and pink are my favourite colours, so thats a bonus for me.

Quality the thing i dont like about this product is the brush that it comes with. i mean its considerate of the company to add a brush, but its useless, and ends up in a streaky result. so i just use two of my own separate brushes :) but other than that, the highlight and contour are quite good quality!

Price about $10 - $15

My Opinion considering the price, its very good value for money!! i love the contour alot, but the high light seems to pink for my skin, and its hard to blend them properly together which looks fine in normal light, but if youre out in the sun you can see a line, but its not all that noticeable!! overall, i love it :) basically.

Tiny Target Haul

Went to Target today to get a blow up pool cos of the weather, I had like a huge list of things I needed to buy in the Beauty Department but they were SOOOOO under stocked!!! They didnt have my usual Australis Mineral Inject Lipgloss in Lambarda, but they did have it in Contempary, which is a nude. Lambarda is my HG lipgloss, its a candy pink!!!

Here's the hand cream I bought. Its called Cherry Bomb and it smells lovely! A Tad generic though.

I bought 2 pairs of undies, they were like $10 each??? And a cute bra, was $25ish but it was on sale for $14 :) Yay. Its gonna be my bed time bra, cos it has no padding or anything, and the straps dont move, so theyre not push up at all, so I def wont be wearing this around people!!!

I think what I might start doing is take pictures at the end of every week of what Ive brought that week, instead of taking pics as soon as I buy something lol

That means instead of lots of little hauls, Ill have various larger hauls :)

Tiny Haul

Havent really been shopping much, just been partying heaps lately and going to the beach cos we've had some pretty awesome weather here in Adelaide!!!

Bought some cute thongs/sandals from Dotti, $39.95. Omgsh, Im a size 9!!! and Im only 160cm tall!! Everyones like wow you've got big feet for such a small girl lol Whatever.

Also got a new wallet and coin purse, both from Forever New. My old ones were falling apart and I really wanted to buy the new Barbie loves Mimco clutch, but the collection doesnt come out till Wednesday!! Argh. They said November, but never mentioned which date, Ive been waitly sooooo patiently!!!
I also purchased MAC Selection Sheer Pressed Powder and the Studio Fix Fluid FOundation, both in NC15. It came up to like $91 or something???

And also the Australis Mineral Inject lipgloss in Lambarda - Ive had like 3 compliments using this so far this week!!! Its only like $12 so you should try it if you love light pink glosses :) Its non sticky and moisturizing!!! And smells really nice, oh and according to my MUM it tastes(??) nice too. Lol

I only purchased the travel sized St Ives scrub because Im always sucked into beauty products that everyone raves about, but they end up doing nothing for my skin!!! So Im going to try this out for a week before I purchase the full size!!

Eeep. Forgot which colour I purchased but I am so mad! Arrgh.

So I went into Inglot the Rundle Mall store, and asked if I could have some help choosing a Pressed Pwoder in the right colour.

She held one up to my skin tone and was like "Yeah this is it."

And Im like cool.

Then she went back to the stand and was like "Uhh, actually, Do you want to go a bit darker?"

And Im like "How much darker?"

And she just tried the foundation on my neck and was like "Yup! This is perfect! Matches your neckline"

And Im liek okay whatever, Like shes the professional, right?

I purchased it. $30. No biggy. $15 cheaper than my MAC powder,

Went out that night and my sister was like "Wow you have like a black face"

Ughhh. So I looked in the mirror and I had like some bad fake tan thing going on!!!!!!!

So I needyour opinions, please girls!!!!

Do I have any right to return the powder? Seeing as she sold me the wrong colour? Or is it my fault for trusting a professional and taking her advice, and then it back firing on me?

Should I just leave the powder alone, and take it as lesson learnt????

Yesterday, after work, I caught up with my friend and did a little bit of shopping. Only bought a few things from Priceline though!

Face of Australia Lipgloss in Balmain - $ 3.57

Its such a gorgeous colour! Its like a metallic soft purple, but its very sheer. Its very moisturizing, and its definitely become a staple in my purse! I got this on sale, the normal price is a dollar or two more.

Savvy by DB Lipgloss - $4.95

Yuhhk. Dont like this stuff! But thats just my opinion. Its not moisturizing and its dull and boring.

Australis Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder - $11.40

I bought this in "Natural". It claims to be oil free, and fragrance free.

Australis Fresh & Flawless Foundation - $12.95

This foundation, on the surface, has many reasons why you should purchase it:

• Cheap - under $15 for 28ml!
• Oil free
• Fragrance free
• Wont clog pores
• SPF 15

However, In my experience today when I tried it on and went to work, it may not CLOG pores, but it does NOT hide them in anyway! By midday the foundation was half gone! and my pores were so huge and noticable *Cringe*

Also, on my pessimistic role, the application was dreadul. I had to practically drag it across my face, and it left a streaky effect all across my cheeks and nose. I tried to blend with my foundation brush, and this did help a bit but it still looked cakey.

Oh wells, Not much lost, only a days worth of disgusting makeup and $15. :) Im glad I tried it though!

*** I may try using it again tomorrow with my ModelCo primer, maybe this will affect the durability of the foundation, and also the way it sits on the skin.

Ive had such a busy busy day today! Woke up at 7am (waaay to early for me!) and headed straight into town, read the latest WHO magazine, and went to work. Work was exhausting! Im a waitress so I get loads of blisters! Its so unfair. Does anyone know how to prevent or treat blisters? My feet get so sore!

Simple Face Wipes
I bought these because every on here seems to love them! I used to use the light moisturizer in this Range so I thought I may aswell try their face wipes! Good quality for such an affordable price!

Rimmel Renew and Lift Powder Foundation

Love this stuff! I bought this in Ivory ebcause Im currently using their Lasting Finish foundation in Ivory as well; The two of these items go together so well! I remained flawless all day! I only had to touch up once.

Australis Creme Eyeliner

I bought this becausethe cute little brush applicator that comes with is just way to gorgeous to resist! Haven't tried applying it yet but Ill definitely use it when I do a winged eyeliner look sometime soon :)

Naturalites False Eyelashes

The word "natural" got me hooked. Im not a fan of the whole big dramatic false eyelash look, only because there is no way in hell Id be able to pull it off! However, those who do pull off falsies I envy quite a bit! I havent tried these on yet but when I do ýou all will be the first to see! Hit or miss, we'll find out soon!

Natio Face Mist

Im on a mission to find the best face mist stocked in Australia! Ive recently become obsessed with these gems ever since I used the Rose Balancing Mist from Jurlique! Its great for an afternoon refreshment! Cools you down and makes you feel alive.

So that is what Ive purchased today :) Has anyone tried any of the items Ive purchased?
