Review: Sportsgirl Smooth Operator Lip Balm

"Perfect your lips with a lick of Smooth Operator that will condition and moisturise with a hit of Vitamin E, Jojoba Oil and Avocado Oil for totally kissable lips."

Cost: $4.95

My Opinion:

The packaging is fabulous, very simple, just a white base, with pink writing. Id love to carry this around in my purse!!!

I squeeze the tube lightly, and it comes out as a gloss, even though its a Lip Balm.

It has a resemblance to Palmer's Dark Chocolate Peppermint Lip Butter, Especially the smell!! Its peppermint yum :)

I apply the lipbalm, and it glides on smoothly.

Suddenly I have a tingling sensation in my lips, followed by a slight sting.

Then I rub my lips together and they feel so soft and smooth!!

My lips also appear to be more plump, but Im not sure that this is intentional, because the blurb on the tube doesnt say anything about amplifying your lips.

Its a clear gloss, and not tacky or sticky at all.

Im inlove with it! And for under $5 you cant go wrong.

Definitely recommend this to Bloggers with a Sportsgirl in their area. :)

The Good:

Moisturizing

Affordable

Non Sticky

Lip Smoothing

Peppermint Scent

Cute Packaging

The Bad:

Its clear, Id love one in a candy pink!

Sounds like a nice product. I have noticed that from the Sportsgirl range that it tingles you lips then kind og stings! I also think that in some cases the smell is too strong and over powering. However the product seems fine.
I am really craving that Australis mineral inject lipgloss. I am sooo getting it on Monday *fingers crossed they have it in stock*

I keep hearing about how great sportsgirl is from you Aussies. Not sure if they're available in the states. I'm always looking for something that'll keep my lips from getting dry and chapped!!

Hi Lorien! Thanks for your comment ^^ I never wear foundation as I've tried it only a few times and I have the impression of wearing a mask. Weird, eh?

I'm loving all these products that are being released by Sportsgirl! I know what I'll be asking my aussie friend when she comes to visit ;)

That sounds like a good buy but just be careful that you put on some SPF before putting the gloss on! The UV rays zone in on gloss unless it has SPF in it.
