empties :) with reviews

Ive been collecting most of my "empties" (used products) in a box for a few months now, and Ive been meaning to do mini reviews on them all! Ive broken them down into groups:

1. "Excellent" Products I will/have re purchase/d.
2. "Average" Products that I have re purchased in the past, but have come across better products since.
3. "Luxury" Products, that are not a neccessity, but I would re purchase if I had $$.
4. Products that are just useless.

* all reviews are based on my personal opinion on the product! im sure that some of the ones I love, you may hate, and some of the ones I hate, you may love!

1. "Excellent" Products I will/have re purchase/d.
Clockwise from Left: Loreal Shine Blonde Shampoo, Vera Wang Princess Perfume, Australis Mineral Inject Lipgloss in Lambada, Clarins Hydra Matte Moisturizer, Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser, The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Blotting Tissues(Centre).

Loreal Shine Blonde Shampoo. This shampoo is a "purple tinted" shampoo, and it helps to eliminate some "brassiness" that most blondes suffer from! I have tried other brands, like Joico (which dries out my hair quite a bit!), but this is by far the best! It won't give you the same result as foils, or even a toner, but it will definitely help in between salon visits! It leaves my hair soft, and gives it a bit of shine :).
Australis Mineral Inject Lipgloss in Lambada. Have spoken a trillion times about this. Just love it. Under $10, moisturizing, beautiful colour. It doesn't stay on as long as say Mac Lipglass, buuuutt its a third of the price and is far more moisturizing! Perfect for sensitive lips.
Clarins Hydra Matte Moisturizer I have re purchased this 3 times (I think?) since November (I think?) last year! I love it. I have combo skin (dry cheeks, oily nose, normal fore head, conjested chin - annnnd its sensitive too!) and this definitely helps! my skin loves this stuff!
Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser. I have used this on and off since I was about 12. It's non drying, makes my skin feel super soft, and helps with pimples and conjestion. It doesn't perform miracles (I don't have blackheads, but I do have large-ish pores!) but other exfoliators tend to either strip my skin of moisture (that icky tight feeling) or makes my skin red! I use this about 2 - 3 times a week :)
The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Blotting Tissues. Love these! I have an oily nose, as mentioned, and I need these. I seriously could not live without these! They're under $5 and have 60 sheets. I've used other oil blotting sheets, but most of them take off my make up aswell! These dont.

2. "Average" Products that I have re purchased in the past, but have come across better products since.
Clockwise from Left: Lee Stafford Dry Shampoo (Mini), Jurlique Daily Exfoliating Cream, Loreal Elvive "Anti Breakage" Deep Repairing Masque, Simple Light Moisturizer, Clarins Pore Minimizing Serum, Tea Tree Oil.

Lee Stafford Dry Shampoo (Mini). Honestly, I bought these because of the cute packaging. Ive gone through about 3 or 4 bottles so far. Dry shampoo is great, but when you think about it, it's just baby powder in a spray can.. So, I can do without these! A reason I wouldn't re purchase is that it runs out pretty quickly! I don't get that many uses out of a can.
Jurlique Daily Exfoliating Cream. I was in love with this stuff, but at the end of the day it's too expensive for an exfoliator ($50+) and it's extremely messy to use!
Loreal Elvive "Anti Breakage" Deep Repairing Masque. I don't believe in any "miracle" products out there that can save your hair, but this does a pretty good job. It makes my hair feel soft and nourished, it only takes a few minutes, doesn't weigh down my hair, and it's only about $10! Pretty decent stuff :)
Simple Light Moisturizer. Another old favourite! I found it to stop being effective though. It's about $10 which is great for a moisturizer! Is excellent for sensitive skin, but after switching to Clarins, I tried to go back to this Simple moisturizer, but I just couldn't Clarins is about 10 times better (unfortunately, Clarins is also 5 times more expensive!). But I would reccommend this to sensitive/combo skin who are on a budget.
Clarins Pore Minimizing Serum. I don't even know if this worked or not? it definitely didn't help with controlling sebum, however my pores may have down sized a little bit. I never actually paid for this, it came as a gift pack.  I won't re purchase, but I will use it if it comes in another gift pack :) thinking about trying a Clinique pore minimizer next!
Tea Tree Oil. This is the only thing I use for pimples, however I had a bad experience the other week because I reapplied it too often and I had a bit of irritation! So when you do use this, only maximum of twice a day! and just on the pimple, not the skin around! However, this does work! I find it more effective (and less irritating) than marketed pimple poppers! It's also under $5 for a jar that lasts forever.

3. "Luxury" Products, that are not a neccessity, but I would re purchase if I had $$.
Clockwise from Left: ModelCo Skin Drink, The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue, Clarins Pure and Radiant Mask, The Body Shop Milk Bath, The Body SHop Raspberry Body Butter, Jurlique Soothing Herbal Recovery Gel, Tigi Bedhead Dumb Blond Reconstructor Treatment.

ModelCo Skin Drink. Basically, this is a spray on body moisturizer. It's really convenient in terms of not having to manually slather your body when you cbf. You just spray instead! However, it's about $30 per can, and doesn't last that long. I would buy it, if money grew on trees :)
The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue. Mmm. Smells delish! This product is gorgeous, I would re purchase (and most probably will when I caveeee) but at the moment I'm using body moisturizer that I don't like using on my body! Also, this stuff seems a bit too yummy and gorgeous to be using on my FEET! I'd rather slather my body with it hahaha
Clarins Pure and Radiant Mask. This stuff is okay. But expensive. Nuff said.
The Body Shop Milk Bath. I enjoy having baths in this :) makes it all creamy, softens my skin, but it's annoying if I want to shave because it leaves a film on my skin and then when I shave, the film gets stuck in the razor and makes shaving less effective. Same  goes if I wash my hair in the tub, just makes my hair a weeennny bit greasy. But if you leave your hair up, and just lierally want to soak in the tub, this stuff it lovely.
The Body Shop Raspberry Body Butter. Love this stuff! But, I find The Body Shop Body Butters to be too expensive, because I moisturize like a crazy person! Seriously, day and night, and I don't go easy on the moisturizer! I slather it on! But this body butter smells amazing, it's my favourite. They don't have it in stock at the moment though :(
Jurlique Soothing Herbal Recovery Gel. It's okay, but for the size shown it was about $70, and for a larger size it's about $140! I didn't see a noticeable difference when using this, and if you buy a product for $70 and use it for a month, you expect decent results, right?
Tigi Bedhead Dumb Blond Reconstructor Treatment. Smells like pineapple :) I do enjoy using this, and yes, it does look amazing in my bathroom. It makes my hair soft, and smell lovely, buuuut I'm too keen to try other treatments out there! I will probably re purchase this at a later date. Basically, worth trying, but no miracles.

4. Products that are just useless.
Hair Products (Top): Loreal Elvive Nutri Gloss Conditioning Shine Spray, Kerastase Noctogenist Overnight Revitalizing Treatment, Schwarzkopf Bonacure Repair Rescue Sealed Ends.

Loreal Elvive Nutri Gloss Conditioning Shine Spray. Just makes my hair greasy! Tried spraying less, from further away, when wet, when dry. But still weighed it down, and made it oily. Did not condition. Useless.
Kerastase Noctogenist Overnight Revitalizing Treatment. Okay, this stuff is okay. But for $50? I don't think so.
Schwarzkopf Bonacure Repair Rescue Sealed Ends. I won't re purchase. It's okay though, the price is decent, made my ends kinda soft. But didn't improve the condition, and I've already got something that works waaay better.

Body Products (Middle): Parlor Coconut and White Peach Hand cream, Dove Supreme Body Silk, Reniu Virgin Coconut Body Butter "Watermelon Infusion".

Parlor Coconut and White Peach Hand cream. I loved the scent at first, but it definitely made me sick after a few uses! It's okay, does moisturize a bit, but I've found a hand cream that works alot better.
Dove Supreme Body Silk. It's okay, the tub didn't last me very long, and in the winter it was a bit hard to spread. It moisturizers okay, but the scent is too "old lady" for me.
Reniu Virgin Coconut Body Butter "Watermelon Infusion". Nom, nom nom. Smells gorgeous :) Kinda. Like Coconut and a little bit of watermelon. Quite rich, and if your prone to body acne (little bit of conjestion?) then this will definitely clog your pores on your body! It's very rich, and far too rich for the summer because it just feels like your sticky all day long haha. it doesn't suit winter either, because who goes aorund smelling like coconut and watermelon when it's 4 degrees? weirddddd..

Face Products (Bottom): Lush Eau Roma Water, Jurlique Intense Recovery Mask.

Lush Eau Roma Water. "Excellent for dry, old or sensitive skins." I used this on my cheeks (dry, and sensitive) and it didn't do anything. It's just kinda useless? Not worth a cent. I popped it into a spray bottle and just used it as a refresher, but it's still in the spray bottle, because I hardly use it. Maybe in the mornings after a big night out, just to feel half awake :)
Jurlique Intense Recovery Mask. I loved using this. It's great when it's part of a routine, however, I didn't get any "results", and it was a bit expensive! There are far better face masks, for half the price!

Other (Diagonal, Right): Sportsgirl Give Some Lip Lipgloss, Clinique Superfit Makeup, Covergirl Advance Radiance Age Defying Compact Makeup, Loreal Telescopic Mascara, Impulse Body Spray.

These last items are okay, I used to enjoy using them, it's just that I've found more affective products :) Not giving them a bad rap, and I used to love the Clinique foundation and Loreal telescopic mascara (I still use this, but it's in a black tube, not silver!).

If you would like any more information (based on my opinion) of these products, just ask :)

Over here (UK) The raspberry body butter from The Body Shop has gone down to £5! saving of £7.50, and it's been in stock for ages, I wish I had some spare pennies!
