High Waist Shorts + Favourite Cheek Combo + Favourite Foundation Combo + Favourite Oil Blotting Sheets

I have been going into town (clubbing? don't know what people over seas call it!) every weekend, and it seriously wrecks me !! I'm one of those people who start getting ready at 5pm, Pre Drinks at 7pm at friends, Town by 11pm, and I won't get home until 10am the next morning!! Blaaa, so I spend the weekend recovering instead of doing my homework or blogging :(

BUT I've managed to finish a whole term in school! I'm so proud of myself, as you may have notice I start things, but never really finish them!! I was doing 4 subjects, but I dropped Maths, so now I'm doing 3, the good news is is that I'm aceing them :D

If you read my last post, I was explaining how my friend dropped my camera into a mug of water and I had to get another one, but the new one turned everything green! I pretty much refuse to use it because I don't like the green tinge, but my brother brought home this all hi tech and spesh camera from school, amd omg if he knows I've been using it he's gonna cut sick haha
I took this photo with the camera that was dropped into the mug of water LOL as you can see it works, but with like a special effect-y type look (reminds me of the special settings like Sepia, etc) I turned the dropped-in-water-camera on last week and it kinda works! So I;m gonna take it out this weekend and take some mad photos!

I bought some really cute high waist shorts yesterday from Supre. I know that some people think that Supre is tacky, but quite frankly it's the only store with my size! I know that I look chubby in pictures and stuff, but yeah at Supre I'm at size 3xs in everything, and there's always beautiful clothes in Globalize but THEY NEVER FIT! It's so frustrating.
Anyways, so here are the shortttsss *drum roll*
They were only $35. I'm going to wear them out this Saturday night, I'll take loaddssss of pictures (on mu wicked cool water-stuffed camera) and I'll upload them :) But I'm going to ask my friends first, cos like I mean I'd be cool with them posting pictures of me on websites, buuutttt, I'll ask just incase they're funny about it!

Usually I don't have much time to put much on my cheeks at all, and I've never really layered different blushes or bronzers, usually it's either blush, blush and high light, or just my MAC MSF in Soft and Gentle !! But lately I've been using MAC bronzer in Refined Golden and NARS blush in Deep Throat.
I apply the MAC bronzer first (I always shove a bit on my t zone, but not much cos it has small glitter pigments!!) and then I apply the NARS blushh!! It looks amazing, if I do say so myself :P I'll do an FOTD when I have a decent camera! The bronzer looks dark, it is, but if you apply it with a light hand and slowly build up it's absolutely AMAZING! I'm an NC20 (albiiiii) for reference.

The Body Shop Oil Blotters have been my saviour for yyears. I'm obsessed, no joke, OBSESSED. I've tried every single oil blotter out there, and these are just amazing.
So you could imagine how freaked out I was when I rocked up to the Body Shop with only about 10 sheets left and a big weekend ahead, and they told me they were to be DISCONTINUTED!
Luckily, the assistant was miss-informed, the other oil blotters (one with powder and the plain one without powder) were being discontinued! PHEW!
I have an oily nose (no, not tzone, just nose!) and instead of layering powder to get that horrible cakey look, not to mention that after 12 hours of dancing you get that horrible orangey tinge? well instead of that, I just used an oil blotter every 2-4hours, and touch up with my MAC compact every 6hours!! Love Love Love Love Love Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love Love <33. They're only $4.95 as well! MAC oil blotters are what, like $20 - $30!?

It's Winter in Adelaide right now, and with a new season comes a new foundation routine! I haven't changed up my powder - I love my MAC Select/Sheer Powder in NC20 - but I continually switch my liquid foundations!! I was using Clinique Superfit for most of the Summer, but for Winter I've switched to Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation in Ivory.
It's not really "switching" because I have used this for about 2 years almost, on and off! I always get compliments using this foundation, and it's absolutely perfect! Looks flawless, and stays put!!
Cons?
It stays put, yes I just said that was  pro, but removing it takes a tab more effort than my other foundations, I just have to repeat my cleansing (Cetaphil) once more, and I always make sure I use my Clarins Toner afterwards to make sure eveyrthing's removed!
Also, the colour range is dismal. It has about 5-6 shades, I would like to go to the second shade (I'm the lightest, Ivory, at the moment) but it's too orange! It's a fab foundation, but they need to expand their shade selection!
I'm going to do a separate post about the Clinique + MAC vs Rimmel + MAC foundation routine!!

I've so missed blogging, and honestly want to keep posting!! Ohhh, and incase my followers think I've forgotten them - I haven't!! I've still been reading blogs, I just haven't been commenting often because my computer is so slow!! I have a brother and with that comes with downloading music, and other stuff. Not cool!! Ewww. I should probably delete that from this post, but I won't haha

December Favourites

Top Row - Tea Tree Oil, Kerastase Noctogenist Treatment, Face Shop Makeup Base, Clinique Superfit Makeup
Middle Row - Vera Wang Princess, Fabulous Triple Tough Nail Vitamin Boost, Revlon Polish in Fuschia Fever
Bottom Row - Media Makeup Brush, Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner

Media Makeup Brush
I got this when I started a makeup course earlier this year (went to like 3 lessons then left for personal reasons). Its like a small contour brush, but I use it to blend my eyeshadows into each other. I dont use it to apply any e/s or anything, just blend. It feels SO soft. LIke gorgeously soft. Ive never felt a softer brush!

Fabulous Triple Touch Nail Vitamin Boost
My nails used to be short, they used to crak, peel, break, they were just DISASTOROUS. I tried a bunch of Sally Hanser products cos Ive heard good things about that brand, and things like "Diamond Strength" intruiged me to purchase them, but nothing worked! I bought this for half the price of the Sally Hanswer products, this was only $8 from a chemist, and I noticed a difference in a week!! Whenever I stop using it my nails begin to act up again, so its definitely all about maintanance. Cant give enough kudos to this product!

Kerastase Noctogenist Over Night Revitalizing Treatment
Its a teeny tiny bit pricey, okay, very pricey, and I seem to go through this like toilet paper, but it leaves my hair so soft and it smells DELICOUS and classy. Ive noticed my hair is softer and easy to manage. Will do a review if you like :)

The Face Shop Makeup Base Corrector in Green
I have redness on my cheeks and nose, but I put this all over my face cos it acts as a moisturizer and primer too! It tones down my redness without looking to green and washed out. The texture is lovely and soft, its a cream, and its a light mint green. I really love this. Ive tried different Green correctors (MAkeup Forever, and Maybelline) but they always show the green waaaay too much! I love this stuff because it blends wonderfully and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. I can have no makeup days when I use this.

Clinique Superfit Makeup in 16 Bare (N)(VF)
Ive gone on and on about this stuff, and whenever I switch foundations then come back to this I realise how much I love it. Just everything about it is lovely. Ive done a review on this already, its in my top 3 foundations list aswell. Definitely give this a go if you have combo skin!

Would you like me to review any of these products?
Just ask!

Top 3 Foundation Review

Top 3 Foundations
So over the past, say, 3 years I have been obsessed with foundations, because according to myself I have horrible, horrible skin that needs to be covered.
Well in truth, I have okay skin. I dont have acne, or I dont have like massive pigmentation.
My skin concerns are redness (across the nose and cheeks), and an oily nose (not tzone, just my nose). I also have large pores. I never used to have large pores, only in the past year have I noticed that they're fucking huge.
My facialists view on my skin is that the redness is due to dryness and my use of skincare targeted at oily skin. I have now stopped using products to reduce oiliness, because this only produces more sebum!!! Apart from that she says my skin is *breaths* perfect.. Crazy woman.
I always buy foundation that is medium - full buildable coverage. Long lasting is always a must because Im quite active. S0 here are my Top 3

#1 Clinique Superfit Makeup
Price: $49
Benefits: Oil Free, Long Lasting, Oil Control,
Durability: Long lasting. It does not go cakey at all!!! However it does rub off onto my shirt if I switch tops before I leave the house in the morning. (Rimmel foundation does not do this)
Pros: Its a Clinique best seller!! With good reason. This foundation doesnt just "sit" on my skin, it blends perfectly. It keeps my shiney nose less shiney all day and doesnt sink in my pores. Also, I have problems sometimes with foundations "oxidizing" throughout the day into yuk yellows of bright pinks, this stays the same colour all day :) Whenever I switch from my MAC Studiofix I find that my skin has about 80% less pimples!!! ALso it feels like your not wearing much on my skin :) Love it!
Cons: I have yet to find anything wrong with this foundation!!! Except maybe its a bit Pricey. Lol stingy much?

#2 Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation
Price: $18
Benefits: Long Lasting, Transfer Resistant, Mineral Enriched.
Durability: The best!! I go to work at 11am, finish at 4pm, head over to the gym, bootcamp for 1hour, come home, ITS STILL THERE. However, This does cause a problem when you actually want it to come off when cleansing your face!!! Ive found Loreal Dermaq Makeup remover works really well.
Pros: Stays on all day, no matter what I do!!! And it just looks flawess. As long as I touch up with blotting papers (thankyou, Body Shop) every 8 hours, I can wear this for as long as I like (Longest Ive tried this is over a 2day bender I did one weekend, friday day, friday night, saturday day, and it was there saturday night when I took it off!!!! Whaaaat!!!). Also the colour is PERFECT. And the Price is awesome!!!!
Cons: In my experience you have to blend faster than usual foundations. If I leave it on my skin for too long it gets harder to blend... It doesnt mention anywhere on the packaging that its not Oil Free, which is a shame because I prefer if my foundation is oil free, makes my feel better :P ALso, after I put it on my face and I use my fingers to blend the last bits in, I wash my hands and I have to use makeup remover thoroughly to get rid of it!!

#3 MAC Studio Fix Fluid
Price: $48
Benefits: Oil free, Long wearing, Buildable Coverage.
Durability: Not as long as the first 2. Well it does stay on the skin, but it makes my nose shinier than the other 2, and tends to flake off in dry patches.
Pros: Looks fabulous!! I dont even blend this foundation. I just squirt 2pumps onto my fingertips and rub it all over my face and it just blends itself. Maybe Im just lucky, But it just looks perfect.
Cons: I do believe this foundation is the reason my pores are so huge, and even if its not, it does nothing to hide them!!! But its probably because I havent found the right primer yet. Id stop using it, but its just looks so flawless!!

So basically, Clinique Superfit foundation is the overall high achiever. Rimmel Lasting Finish stays on your skin, not your clothes. And MAC Studio Fix just looks perfect, little blending needed.

Whats everyones foavourite foundation? And why?
