eotd + fotd

eye products
loreal telescopic mascara
maybelline lash stilletto mascara
inglot e/s
face products
the body shop vitamin e tinted moisturizer
inglot blush (circled)
usually i wear foundation every day (i admit, i do have "acne", but hey atleast you know i dont photoshop my pictures :) haha) but today i just felt like wearing something light. i used to always wear the body shop tinted moisturizer when i was a younger teen (15ish) and absolutely loved it!! it was my first step getting into makeup, except for mascara and eyeliner ofcourse :)
note: **the thing i dont enjoy about the inglot blushes is the fact that they have chunks of glitter in them! not attractive at all. ill definitely be going back for some of their gorgeous eyeshadows, but i wont be purchasing any more inglot blushes.

High Waist Shorts + Favourite Cheek Combo + Favourite Foundation Combo + Favourite Oil Blotting Sheets

I have been going into town (clubbing? don't know what people over seas call it!) every weekend, and it seriously wrecks me !! I'm one of those people who start getting ready at 5pm, Pre Drinks at 7pm at friends, Town by 11pm, and I won't get home until 10am the next morning!! Blaaa, so I spend the weekend recovering instead of doing my homework or blogging :(

BUT I've managed to finish a whole term in school! I'm so proud of myself, as you may have notice I start things, but never really finish them!! I was doing 4 subjects, but I dropped Maths, so now I'm doing 3, the good news is is that I'm aceing them :D

If you read my last post, I was explaining how my friend dropped my camera into a mug of water and I had to get another one, but the new one turned everything green! I pretty much refuse to use it because I don't like the green tinge, but my brother brought home this all hi tech and spesh camera from school, amd omg if he knows I've been using it he's gonna cut sick haha
I took this photo with the camera that was dropped into the mug of water LOL as you can see it works, but with like a special effect-y type look (reminds me of the special settings like Sepia, etc) I turned the dropped-in-water-camera on last week and it kinda works! So I;m gonna take it out this weekend and take some mad photos!

I bought some really cute high waist shorts yesterday from Supre. I know that some people think that Supre is tacky, but quite frankly it's the only store with my size! I know that I look chubby in pictures and stuff, but yeah at Supre I'm at size 3xs in everything, and there's always beautiful clothes in Globalize but THEY NEVER FIT! It's so frustrating.
Anyways, so here are the shortttsss *drum roll*
They were only $35. I'm going to wear them out this Saturday night, I'll take loaddssss of pictures (on mu wicked cool water-stuffed camera) and I'll upload them :) But I'm going to ask my friends first, cos like I mean I'd be cool with them posting pictures of me on websites, buuutttt, I'll ask just incase they're funny about it!

Usually I don't have much time to put much on my cheeks at all, and I've never really layered different blushes or bronzers, usually it's either blush, blush and high light, or just my MAC MSF in Soft and Gentle !! But lately I've been using MAC bronzer in Refined Golden and NARS blush in Deep Throat.
I apply the MAC bronzer first (I always shove a bit on my t zone, but not much cos it has small glitter pigments!!) and then I apply the NARS blushh!! It looks amazing, if I do say so myself :P I'll do an FOTD when I have a decent camera! The bronzer looks dark, it is, but if you apply it with a light hand and slowly build up it's absolutely AMAZING! I'm an NC20 (albiiiii) for reference.

The Body Shop Oil Blotters have been my saviour for yyears. I'm obsessed, no joke, OBSESSED. I've tried every single oil blotter out there, and these are just amazing.
So you could imagine how freaked out I was when I rocked up to the Body Shop with only about 10 sheets left and a big weekend ahead, and they told me they were to be DISCONTINUTED!
Luckily, the assistant was miss-informed, the other oil blotters (one with powder and the plain one without powder) were being discontinued! PHEW!
I have an oily nose (no, not tzone, just nose!) and instead of layering powder to get that horrible cakey look, not to mention that after 12 hours of dancing you get that horrible orangey tinge? well instead of that, I just used an oil blotter every 2-4hours, and touch up with my MAC compact every 6hours!! Love Love Love Love Love Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love LoveLove Love Love Love <33. They're only $4.95 as well! MAC oil blotters are what, like $20 - $30!?

It's Winter in Adelaide right now, and with a new season comes a new foundation routine! I haven't changed up my powder - I love my MAC Select/Sheer Powder in NC20 - but I continually switch my liquid foundations!! I was using Clinique Superfit for most of the Summer, but for Winter I've switched to Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation in Ivory.
It's not really "switching" because I have used this for about 2 years almost, on and off! I always get compliments using this foundation, and it's absolutely perfect! Looks flawless, and stays put!!
Cons?
It stays put, yes I just said that was  pro, but removing it takes a tab more effort than my other foundations, I just have to repeat my cleansing (Cetaphil) once more, and I always make sure I use my Clarins Toner afterwards to make sure eveyrthing's removed!
Also, the colour range is dismal. It has about 5-6 shades, I would like to go to the second shade (I'm the lightest, Ivory, at the moment) but it's too orange! It's a fab foundation, but they need to expand their shade selection!
I'm going to do a separate post about the Clinique + MAC vs Rimmel + MAC foundation routine!!

I've so missed blogging, and honestly want to keep posting!! Ohhh, and incase my followers think I've forgotten them - I haven't!! I've still been reading blogs, I just haven't been commenting often because my computer is so slow!! I have a brother and with that comes with downloading music, and other stuff. Not cool!! Ewww. I should probably delete that from this post, but I won't haha

September Favourites + Mini Haul

Hello there!
I can't believe I have not even written up ONE post this month! Ive just been super dooper busy with work and friends.
My first October Post will be my Favourite items from September!!
  1. Heels
  2. Twilight Series! I only have the last 3 books because I saw the movie for the first book and so decided to pick up where I left off! and OMG the books are sooo much better than the movie!!!! Loved them:)
  3. Chichi Body bronzer. Love this. its freakin' gorgeous! Looks great in my room, and great on my body. I use it on my legs and chest when I go out. It gives it a slight faux tan look and some sparkle :)
  4. Dolce and Gabbana perfume. Its winter here in Aus and so this is so gorgeous. In summer I prefer light scents, nd this perfume is so not light! Its gorgeous to feel sexy on cold winter nights.
  5. Rimmel Lift and Renew Powder foundation. This is my HG powder foundation - Better than MAC! The only thing that doubts this powder is the colour selection.. ONly 4 or 5 colours to choose from in the range! Dodgy.
  6. The Body Shop Vanilla Oil Perfume. Smells soooo good! Theres a Lush version too that Id die to try out but its like$60 whereas the TBS version is like$20. Ill stick to what I know and love for now :)
  7. Starry EyesLiquid Eyeliner. Yay! All glittery and gorgeous! From Sportsgirl (their coool makeup collection!) I love coated my top lids in this on weekends! Sparkle my way throughout the clubs. Its a tad childish, but who am I kidding! Im no adult :) Ugggh speaking of that, my bday is soon. the big 1-9-!!!!!! ahhh.
  8. Face of Australia lipglosses. $4 each! Great value, great product! But they've been discontinued! Ugh this ALWAYS happens to my HG lipglosses :(
  9. NARS blush. Yum yum yum. So sparkly and gives a gorgeous glow, be it day or night!
  10. Benefit Valley of the STars. Great little kit. I mostly use the eyeshadows when Im at my bfs house cos he finds it weird when I bring a bucket of makeup to his house to get ready to go out. He wants to seemore of my "natural beauty" AHAHAH laughable.
  11. This is a "vintage" necklace! Lol My mum found it whilst cleaning out her room the other day and decided Id love it. Which I do! Apparently its cheap metal but I pass it as gold. Lol

BELOW As you can see below I use HEAPS of the Rimmel powder! Still going!

Im really disappointed because Ive been using the ModelCo Lash + Brow Growth Activator and it hasn't given me any results yet! I started using this product on the 20th of September, it says that I should see results after 2 weeks, it has been just over 2 weeks now, and no improvement in my lashes have been noticed :( So I shall be doing a FULL review on this product in 2weeks to see if there's a substaincial change in my eyelashes at the 1 month mark.
Yesterday I also bought a few things :)

  1. MAC powder sponges(???) - about $8. I use these instead of the sponge that comes with the Rimmel foundation.
  2. Rimmel Stay Matte foundation - Was about $15, got a free powder with it! Haven't used it yet but cant wait till the weekend so I cna give you all a quick review.
  3. The Body SHop Shea Butter Shower gel - $12.95. Ive used this the past few days, Ive managed to skip moisturizing after the shower and my skin doesnt crack as it usually does! Not sure if it comes down to the moisturie properties in this shower gel or just plain luck! It smells yummy :)
  4. Rimmel stay matte powder foundation FREE with the purchase of any Rimmel foundation. Love freebies! Ive been using this in the morning after applying my liquid foundation. It doesnt seem to make my makeup last any longer though. But I loveee Rimmel foundations!
  5. Room oils from Dusk - $6 each. Bought Vanilla annnnnnd some other one. Lol sorry too lazy to look! I think everyone should either have scented candles or oils in their bedrooms. Makes it so much more homey :) And my boy loves to come into my room when it smells yummy.

Haul: The Body Shop

So lately my Studio Fix foundation has been breaking me out really bad! So Ive had a few days without makeup, but I can't stand feeling so naked all the time!
Ive been looking for a new foundation (RIP Studio fix). It was a toss up between bare minerals (from David Jones) or the Moisture foundation from The Body Shop.
I decided on the Body Shop foundation!
Why? Because Ive tried so many mineral foundations and they do nothing for me. They look horrid and cakey on my combo/oily/dry skin and I haven't noticed any difference in my skin tone when using them.
So here's my Body Shop Haul:

From top left: Sample of Vitamin E Serum, Sample of Tea Tree Oil wash, Tea Tree Oil Facial Blotting Tissues, Moisture Foundation, Pressed Face POwder, 2 x Dusk oil fragrances.

So Why Did I Decide on TBS Moisture Foundation? Because it's cheaper than my studio fix (and Im a tad broke at the moment) and the packaging seems cute!

Tea Tree Oil Facial Blotting Tissues $4.95:
I adore these things! Miracle papers I call them :) They get rid of the oils on my nose without taking off my makeup like some other blotting tissue do.

Moisture Foundation SPF15 $31.95:
Most people always suggest I should use a matte foundation because of my oil nose, but that just makes the rest of my skin dry and cakey! So I always use a liquid foundation followed by a pressed powder. The texture is lovely and glides onto my skin nicely! So far, so good! I love the fact it has SPF15 - I need this for my sensitive skin! It has decent coverage and I love the fact it has added goodies like Marula Oil (to maintain a glowing complexion).

Pressed Face Powder $24.95
Ive only been using this just for today, but it seems to keep me shine free for the 4hours Ive had this on! The colour matches up perfectly! Not sure what it looks like in photos yet. But it's great for touch ups throughout the day!
Update: I said previously that the Body Shop Pressed Face Powder matches my skin tone well; But after wearing it for 8hours today it has actually turned pink!!! So I wont be buying this again :) But will most probably purchase the TBS Moisture foundation and just use my MAC powder ontop :)
I also bought 2 oil fragrances from Dusk: The two I went for is Morrocan Mint and Plum Delight :)

Whats everyone's favourite Body Shop product?

Skincare/Jurlique Review

My skin was perfect until up about 5 years ago! So since then Ive been trying every skincare brand out there! Its not until recently that Ive been 100% happy with my daily skincare regime. Here are the products I use;

Clockwise from Top Left: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Body Shop Chamomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, Jurlique Daily Exfoliate 4.3oz, Jurlique Daily Exfoliate 1.4oz (Free! with purchase of the 4.3oz version), Jurlique Intensive Recovery Mask, Jurlique Soothing Herbal Recovery Gel, Jurlique Calendula Cream.

Jurlique
So Ive been introduced to Jurlique; This company's products are plant-based, I decided to use this after using Clean & Clear foaming facial wash, toner, and oil controlling moisturizer. I didnt mind Clean & Clear's moisturizer, however the other 2 products broke me out so bad. My skin was so tight! And my whole forehead was covered in pimples :( It was horrible. Ugh. Bad memories! However, Jurlique has definitely turned all that around for me! I've also had one of their Aromatherapy Facials which was so indulgent. Love love.

Jurlique Daily Exfoliate
Okay, when I first purchased this I was hesitant about using this daily. However this product is so gentle! It smells and looks edible. It looks like you're pressing you're breakfast cereal onto your face lol. It does take a few days to get used to the "Press, Release" motion compared to most exfoliants where you scrub your face silly. This is a product that is great for all types of skin! Especially sensitive.

Jurlique Intensive Recovery Mask
Id love to be able to say GREAT things about all of the Jurlique products Ive purchased but honestly, this does nothing special for my skin. It feels wonderful but when I gently take the mask of with cotton pads after the dedicated 10mins, my skin looks the same. For $55 I expected a bit more! I can just say that atleast I didnt get the ($90) larger tube! Phew! However, Ill be using this tube till the end! Facial masks are lovely and relaxing! 10minutes all to myself :)
Jurlique Soothing Herbal Recovery Gel
At first I thought that this raved about product was just another item I didn't need. Instead of buying the product the lovely assistant at Jurlique (Rundle Mall, Adelaide) gave me a weeks supply of samples instead. Oh she was clever! Im hooked. For $70 for the smaller size (which I have) it may seem expensive, but you only need a tincy tiny bit! It makes my skin feel baby soft! And has also helped with my un even skin tone. Loves it!

Jurlique Calendula Cream
The last of Jurlique skincare regime, but definitely not the least! Since I was about 6 years old up until I was 13 I had eczema. I don't have it anymore, But I have redness on my cheeks and nose (I really pale - Mac NC15, So any irritation shows through!). This has calmed it down! I don't look like Im embarrassed all the time! :) It looks extremely thick when you bring it out of the tube, but when you warm it up betwee your fingers before you apply it to your face it sinks into your skin in under 5mins! Definitely a fav.
Cetaphil
God sent! Love this stuff. Its something you'll either love or hate. Because of my sensitive/combo/annoying skin this has become a saviour to me. Even since I was 13 Ive been using this on and off. Ive used everything from the expensive "high end" skincare brands, such as Clinique & Biotherm, to cheapo stuff like Clean & Clear, Neutrogena and Formula 10.0.6 but Ive always returned to Cetaphil! And it's only like $15 for a huge bottle that lasts f o r e v e r.

The Body Shop Chamomile Eye Makeup Remover
I pile on my eye makeup alot! And cetaphil does it's best to take it all off, but its a challenge. So I pour some of this remover onto a cotton pad and gentle wipe away the remains! My facial skin is very sensitive and makeup remover wipes and most other makeup removers hurt my skin :( So this is definitely a fav!

Burt's Bees Lip Balm
For my lips! In winter they just get so dry and sensitive, its horrid! This Honey lip balm does wonders! And it's only $6.95!

Tea Tree Oil
For my pimples! The ones I told you about just before. I bought the Clearasil spot pen and it did nothing but dry out my skin - But left the actual pimple! So then I tried Neutrogena 8hour pimple cream after hearing great reviews, and although it took away the redness and reduced the size, It left my skin dry and tight. So I was looking through my pantry and so a tiny bottle of Tea Tree oil, read the label and found you could use this for pimples! So I got a cotton bud, dipped it in the oil and put it straight into my skin. Ouchie! Stung a tiny bit, But the next day the pimple was GONE. Honestly, it vanished. Its also nice knowing that Im not putting on any un-needed (Is that even a word?) nasty chemicals on my face.

Mr. Peppie came to say Hi! :)

My Skincare Routine:

AM Routine
Wet a flannel with warmish water and wipe over face
Apply cetaphil and rub gently
Wipe off with the flannel
Pat dry skin with clean towel
Apply Jurlique Soothing Herbal Recovery Gel
Apply Tea Tree Oil with a cotton bud to any pimples
Done!
** Most people use the Herbal Recovery gel at night, But I prefer to use it during the day because my makeup just glids over my skin so easily!

PM Routine
Wet a flannel with warmish water and wipe over face
Apply cetaphil and rub gently
Wipe off with the flannel
Apply TBS (Body shop) Chamomile Makeup Remover to cotton pad and hold over eyelids, then gently press away
Squeeze out 1.5cm of Jurlique Daily Exfoliate onto fingertips, Warm Between fingers, then apply to face using the "Press/Release" motion (Sort of like patting someone on the back but far gentler - lol)
Gently remove with flannel
Apply Jurlique Soothing Herbal Recovery Gel (Ughh long title!) to dry/attention seeking areas
Dab cotton bud into Tea Tree Oil and apply to pimples
Warm Jurlique Calendula Cream between fingers, Dab onto skin
Viola! Finished :)

Has anyone tried the Masks from the SK-11 range? Id love to try them! But theyre too expensive to try and not love :( What about LUSH? Ive heard some bad things uh-oh but also some great things too! Hmm.. Trying to hunt down a GREAT skin mask!
